Lots of updates!!

The last few months were a little crazy for the Giugliano household.  August-December is football and golf season! But we survived! Praise the Lord and we all had such fun! I did learn a few things that hopefully will make it run a little smoother next season!

So lets go back...Way back...to August 26, 2016! Today was such a gift from the Lord because we were given the opportunity by hisradio to thank Steven Curtis Chapman for blessing us with a Show Hope grant that will forever change our family! ❤️Only wish we could have thanked Mary Beth in person too! We want to encourage all families who feel the calling to adopt don't let finances be the no. Trust God, He will provide through organizations like Show Hope. #found #adoptionrocks

Then let's bounce to September 20th, 2016! We received notice we were awarded the Gift of Adoption Grant!!!! We are fully funded!! We are so grateful to God! When we started the adoption process we knew we didn't have the funds but God provided as we worked our hardest and prayed even harder!

We continued to prepare our son's room as we waited for our court date! It is pretty much complete just need to secure the bookshelves! Love this piece that our friend Ashley Boot gave to us! Can't wait to have our son home in our arms! Thanks to his wonderful daddy for hanging it up. And the gorgeous quilt was made by my mother in law! ❤️This room is filled with love and prayers! Check out the song that this quote came from https://youtu.be/9W4StV5CCHA

On November 15, 2016, World Adoption Day, we found out our court date was set for November 25, 2016!!! It was approved and then we waited till December 30th for a judge to sign our paperwork and that day started our 60 day wait period! We are on day 51 and counting down the days! It is looking like we might be traveling mid March! It feels like a dream to be this close to finally becoming a forever family!  We have prepared and prepared, prayed and prayed more, read books on adoption, watched educational videos about attachment....and yet I still pray the Lord uses every last day, hour, minute and second and each day that follows him being home to mold us into the parents He wants us to be to help our son grow into the man He has called him to be.

Thank you for all that have helped us along this journey!  God has blessed us immeasurably more through each of you!

Thanks Be To God!

So much has happened in the last few months! Sorry to have fallen off on my blogging duties!

The biggest news is on April 25, 2016 we received our referral! To actually be connected with this child that we have been praying for the last year and a half made my heart want to burst! We are so humbled by God's goodness!

We had our Second Annual Golf Tournament on May 13th! It was a huge success with a total of 18 teams! We are so grateful for each player, sponsor and volunteer willing to take the day to support us in bringing home our son!

We started the process to have our I800 approved on June 1st.  Every day I stalk the postal worker and run to the mailbox praying to find our approval letter in there! But we are still waiting on that! Maybe today is the day!

We are getting so close to our goal of being fully funded! I have had it on my heart since we started this process to sell my one earthly treasure, my wedding rings to bring home our son.  On May 27th I posted that I was selling my ring.  Stacie, my sister-in-law, shared the post to her page and mentioned we were selling the rings to help bring our son home! I was hoping to get an offer on the ring but we received so much more! An outpouring of love and support from people we didn't even know, friends and family were all moved by my sacrifice.  Honestly I knew I was doing what God called me to and my son was far more valuable than the diamonds that were sitting on my finger.  I wanted to know that I had giving all I had to bring our son home.  I did what any momma would do if their child was half way around the world.  Since then the public has "bought" the rings to in turn give back to us. We even had the chance to share our story this morning with His Radio 106.4! I pray others will be encouraged that if God is calling them to adopt don't let concern of finances stop them, God will provide! Now we have this beautiful family heirloom, not because of the diamonds but because of the story behind it.  I pray our children and future generations will never forget the story and what life is really about. The symbol of our marriage is not in the ring it's in the way we live for Christ.

Every day I am humbled at the feet of Jesus because He is such a good Father! Whatever He is calling you to, just go....The blessing far outweighs any excuse of why you shouldn't or can't.

Blessings abound

So much has happened since my last post! We have been able to sell our candles at two different holiday shows and meet some of the most wonderful people! The love that was shown to us and our son was so humbling. Each sweet person that said they would be praying for us touched our hearts!

On November 7th, orphan Sunday, after church Anthony brought in the mail and we had a letter from Showhope!!! We opened it to read to our astonishment we had received a $4000 grant!!! I began to weep. I couldn't believe that God had lavished so much love on us. That God had called us to adoption and He has provided EVERY single step of the way. We had no idea how God was going to take care of it but we had faith and He sure has shown up!!! Immeasurably more has be woven in every single detail through this journey.  God receives all the glory!
My heart felt like it was going to bust with joy then it hit me I can't imagine they joy I will feel when I finally see our son face to face! That moment when God has brought him home and fulfilled His promise of "I will not leave you as orphans".

Please continue to pray that the Lord will open doors and we will be home soon! Pray that his needs are being meet. And that his caregivers will be blessed for caring for our sweet child.

Coming soon....Valentine's Day Flower Fundraiser!

Faithfully we wait

We are in the hardest season of our journey the waiting season. We remain faithful knowing it is all in God's timing. It is hard not because of our desire or the empty room waiting to be filled with laughter from our little guy but my heart aches for him to not to have to be alone anymore. I know during this time that the Lord is working in us to prepare our hearts to help our son heal when he comes home. Until that day we are diligently working hard to be fully funded and educating ourselves on how to be the best parents possible for our son! Right now we are reading Orphanology which is incredible!!
Last week we had our second yard sale! Thank you to all that donated it was a huge success!!! I couldn't have done it without the help of our fantastic friends!

Believe it or not Ashley even agreed to have another one with me in the spring !
Maria did another bake sale to help bring home her brother!

She loves him so much already!

We are also gearing up for the Holidays and making tons of candles to sell!! They make great gifts!

Please pray that our son comes home quickly that he doesn't have to be alone anymore.

"Though it's not easy
But faithfully, I will wait
Yes, I will wait
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve You while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting
I will serve you while I'm waiting
I will worship while I'm waiting on You, Lord"
